Acronyms and Chart Label Guide

The indicator uses concise chart labels so signals stay readable during fast market conditions. The key acronyms are:

  • OFOrder Flow. Used in labels such as OF BUY and OF SELL to identify confirmed order-flow divergence, absorption, or reversal signals.
  • CVDCumulative Volume Delta. A running measure of buying pressure versus selling pressure. The indicator builds a session CVD internally from Volumetric BarDelta and can reset it each session.
  • BarDelta — The difference between aggressive buying volume and aggressive selling volume inside a Volumetric bar. The indicator reads NinjaTrader Volumetric BarDelta directly.
  • Abs / Absorption — A condition where aggressive buying or selling appears in the order flow, but price fails to make meaningful progress. This can suggest that the opposite side is absorbing the pressure.
  • Div / Divergence — A condition where price makes a new high or low, but CVD does not confirm that new extreme. This may reveal weakening participation behind the move.
  • REVReversal. Used in labels such as REVERSAL BUY, REVERSAL SELL, POT REV BUY, and POT REV SELL when strong order-flow pressure fails to produce an appropriate price response.
  • POTPotential. Used for intrabar developing signals, such as POT REV BUY or POTENTIAL OF SELL. These are forming signals and may disappear if the bar no longer meets the signal rules before close.
  • CTCountertrend. Used when a confirmed order-flow signal appears against the active trend bias. For example, CT BUY means a bullish order-flow signal appeared while the trend bias was bearish.
  • WARNWarning. Used with countertrend labels to remind the trader that the signal is against the selected or automatic trend bias, and may be better interpreted as a retrace/repair opportunity rather than a full trend reversal.
  • REPAIR — A trend-aligned order-flow signal. REPAIR BUY appears when bullish order flow aligns with bullish trend bias, and REPAIR SELL appears when bearish order flow aligns with bearish trend bias.
  • SWRSweep Return. Used in labels such as SWR BUY and SWR SELL. These appear after price sweeps beyond a prior confirmed signal candle and then creates a potential return setup back into that candle’s range.
  • HHHigher High. In the detailed Sweep Return text, HH sweep means price swept above the prior bearish signal candle high before producing an SWR SELL setup.
  • LLLower Low. In the detailed Sweep Return text, LL sweep means price swept below the prior bullish signal candle low before producing an SWR BUY setup.
  • Sig H/LSignal High / Low. The high and low of the original signal candle used as the Sweep Return reference range.
  • STSuperTrend. Used in the indicator settings for automatic trend-bias logic. The indicator can optionally use SuperTrend-style trend tracking to classify order-flow signals as trend-aligned, neutral, or countertrend.
  • ATRAverage True Range. Used by the SuperTrend-style trend tracker to calculate trend offsets. The companion SuperTrend script exposes ATR multiplier and ATR period settings.

Risk Disclosure

Futures and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.

Hypothetical Performance Disclosure

Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can adversely affect trading results.
